My GF and I will both be getting the D Inc 4G when it comes out and I wanted to figure out the best Video Chat method.
I looked at Skype and it seems I can do that from my contact list if we're both signed into the Skype app. But my initial tests failed with our current phones (D Inc 1, and Droid 3), because I think her D Inc isn't compatible with video calls on Skype? But honestly, I'm looking to avoid using Skype if I can (have a lot of friends who will constantly message me if I'm signed into Skype on my phone all the time).
I looked at Tango, but it seems you have to make the calls from within the app? I want something that I can make a video call with directly from the contacts list.
I also looked into using the Google+ Hangouts (which would be my ideal choice), but it seems it's also not integrated into the contacts list. I really thought a Google product would integrate well into the Android system.
Is there any app that is low key that will allow me the option to make video calls from the stock android contact list/call history?
