[Q] Disgo Tablet 9000 Android 4.0 9.7” Capacitive Touch screen

Disgo, a technological company based in Mayo Ireland, has announced the immediate UK release of the latest device in their tablet range, the Disgo Tablet 9000. Being a relatively unknown brand, Disgo has launched the tablet with a budget user in mind, rather than try to compete directly with either Apple or Google.

According to the Irish firm's website, a potential buyer can expect the following specifications when choosing the Disgo Tablet 9000: 1.0 GHz Cortex A8 Processor, 1 GB DDR3 and 8 GB onboard storage (expandable) with a 9.7-inch TN display (1024x768). Other details include a front (0.3 MP) and rear (2.0 MP) facing camera, a battery which should last for 5 hours and a Mali 400 GPU. Clearly the iPad with Retina Display or the Nexus 7 have little to worry about.

To sweeten the deal, Disgo has incorporated Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) as the tablet's OS, knowing how the general public can't seem to get enough of Google's ubiquitous software. The price for such extravagance? £149.99,You can get it for £89 secondhand. With the latest iPad retailing from £399 (~$634) for the basic 16 GB model Disgo will be likely hoping to have found a niche in the tablet market. However, with the Nexus 7 available at £180 or less, it seems Disgo might find their niche restricted sooner rather than later.

Its a shame there is no roms for this, its not a bad tablet but a bit slow.
