[Q] Where is Androids Bluetooth Battery Status??

Ok, I realize there is other threads on this topic but they are kinda old. How about an update. I think Android is a far more advanced OS than IOS yet IOS has a very simple bluetooth battery status indicator that reads from bluetooth headsets. Why the heck does Android not have this basic function?

I see some apps that are specific to headsets, but they are rare and are mostly for plantronics. Any others are garbage and just take a guess. Useless. Are these the only solutions? Please tell me android L has this solved.

Thanks for your time devs and any and all who participate.

Whoops sorry this shouldve been in the Android Q&A not in general. Perhaps a mod can change it?
