So, I was using a tool to root my tab. It seemed like I was having some success - saw an unlocked lock on the boot up screen - but when I checked, I did not have root. When i ran the tool again, it noted that
9:56:28 PM - Getting OffSets.. : error: only position independent executables (PIE) are supported. (False)
everything elese looked good.

What does that error mean? Is there a work around? I did send a not to the tool author and am waiting to hear back.
