Google Now: Not Working After 2-Step Verification

Hi all -

I recently added 2-step verification to my Google account after they told me someone tried to hack into it. However, after I typed my new password into my Google account on my phone, and it went through the 2-step process... Google Now doesn't work correctly anymore. When I use the voice search (or any Google Now search) I see in the browser status bar that it almost looks like it logs out and logs back in. Then it just displays the Google search results. So for any normal question, like "Who is the president of the United States?" - it no longer speaks anything back to me because it ONLY displays the Google search results... not the Google Now result. The same applies when I say things like "Navigate to such-and-such-address." This is quite annoying, because I used Google Now daily. I then disabled 2-step verification and just changed my password to a much stronger password. However, even now, without having 2-step verification on... I'm running into the same problem. It still appears that every time i use the Google Now search, it goes into the browser and logs out to log back in right away, and then just displays the browser search results. All other aspects of Google Now still work, but the search only displays the browser results of the search - nothing else. Has anyone seen this before or have any ideas?
