So I have a Samsung Evo+ 128 GB micro SD card and I'm curious which file system would be optimal to use.
Since I use custom ROM and kernel file system support isn't really a problem. I had many problems with FAT32 so I try to avoid it at all cost. I've been using the card as exFAT for half a year now and it's not bad. Even though it doesn't seem to be as fast as it could according to benchmarks and official description of the card furthermore, when I do multitasking while listening to music stored on the card, the music stutters once a minute. According to my own statistics the card achieves the best performance with NOOP I/O scheduler and lowest (128kb) read-ahead size. Would it prove higher performance if formatted as F2FS/EXT4 or NTFS?
